The TDMA members finalise updated sustainability life cycle assessment

Following a comprehensive review, the TDMA members have completed the latest iteration of the life cycle assessment (LCA), demonstrating a 19% decrease in product carbon footprint.

Using data from 2021, members of the TDMA have completed the important assessment considering the environmental impact of the production of titanium dioxide (TiO2). The TDMA partnered with a third-party expert to gather data from members across 33 production sites, evaluating the impact of approximately 4.1 million metric tonnes of TiO2.

The TDMA has been a leader in providing relevant sustainability data through the LCA approach since before its importance was widely recognised. As new environmental reporting procedures are increasingly introduced across Europe, more organisations are using LCAs to support stakeholders in the supply chain.

Please read more about the LCA here.
