12 October 2017 – The Risk Assessment Committee (RAC) of the European Chemicals Agency has published its scientific opinion to classify titanium dioxide (TiO2) as a suspected carcinogen (cat. 2) by inhalation. Details of the opinion can be found here.

The Titanium Dioxide Manufacturers Association (TDMA) is assessing the detailed opinion and will issue a statement in due course.
